Conor McGregor has appeared to have sent a message Khabib Nurmagomedov’s way ahead of his return to the UFC. McGregor will return to the Octagon on January 18 in the main event of UFC 246 in Las Vegas. The way that Conor McGregor is going to battle Donald Cerrone in a welterweight challenge appeared to astound in excess of a couple of people. Several weeks back reports surfaced that Cerrone was the front-runner to face McGregor in his return bout, and that the contest was being targeted for January 18th. But, the expectation was that the fight would be a 155, as McGregor hadn’t been talking about fighting at welterweight again.
Well, fast forward to today, and McGregor Cerrone is headlining UFC 246 in a five-round, welterweight contest. During a recent episode of Rogan’s podcast, the veteran commentator had this to say about McGregor’s decision to fight at 170. It’s certainly trfight with Diaz is also a possibility, and as Rogan noted, it’s hard to imagine Diaz fighting at 155 again.
